What does PrestoPort mean? "Presto" is originally an Italian word. Etymology for "Presto": quick, nimble, at hand, ready, at hand, available…. It's being used here in the meaning of "quick" or "available at hand". All all "Presto Port" is used here to signify the Web Site being a portal (hence "Port") for quick access to references, resources, services and whatever else the Web Site may later be upgraded to provide its visitors/users with. It's a question that every person whose native tongue is non-English has asked me whenever I give him or her the name of my Web Site. It has only been recently added to English dictionaries, because it's originally not an English word, although most English native tongue persons know it and its meaning. I hope this now solves that mystery for any that want to ask that question or are puzzled by why it's called that name.
